VIDEOHARBOR

When a saved video has no sound

A successful file transfer does not by itself establish that the selected source includes audio. Check the player first, then the resource and the media-processing result.

Open the video workspace

Check the player and the original

Unmute the player, raise the media volume and compare with the original page. A clip that was silent at the source will still be silent after download.

Check which resource was selected

Some players request video and audio separately. A video-only MP4 resource may have no audio track to keep. Where an ordinary supported HLS master identifies an external audio track, the processor can combine the supported tracks; this is not guaranteed for every manifest.

Read the completed task

Use the workspace's media-check result to distinguish a verified audio track from no detected audio. A short preview is not a guarantee that the entire source will process successfully.

Report reproducible details

Provide the public link, selected quality, file duration and whether the original has sound. Do not submit account credentials. Keeping the original file makes it easier to compare the outcome without losing your source.
